Terms & Conditions of Sales and Service

After long exposure to the sun window covering material can become tender, dye lots may vary, and cords wear out — these are considered normal wear and tear, and are not covered by manufacturers' warranties. Damage from misuse, abuse, or improper installation are also not covered, and may invalidate the warranty. Some times window coverings are damaged in transit or handling — this is also considered normal wear and tear. Customer agrees that in no event shall Airlight Venetian Blind Company be liable for incidental or consequential damages or for any other direct or indirect damage, loss, cost, expense, or fee.

Occasionally, additional damage or worn parts are discovered which were not evident on first inspection — the customer agrees to accept overages not in excess of 10% of job total without notification.

No-Pay Cleaning guarantee is available on cleaning orders of more than one window covering only. We will, upon request, test-clean the smallest window covering in the order and make it available for your inspection. If you are not satisfied, we will release the entire order to you without charge for the test cleaning. No-Pay Guarantee does not apply if test-cleaning was not requested. Due to many factors (i.e. construction, age, use, exposure to sunlight and chemicals, prior cleaning methods, amount and type of soiling) cleaning results may vary from one window covering to another within the same order. Test-cleaning is intended as an example of the results you can expect from our service but is not a guarantee that all window coverings in the order will have identical results.

Products will be made according to each particular manufacturer’s production requirements and specifications (which include, but may not be limited to a ± 1/8" allowance). Please refer to our Manufacturers & Products page for additional information.

Payment in full (in U. S. Dollars) is required to process orders — we accept Visa, Master Card, American Express, Money Orders, and Checks. We will provide only those products and services requested and purchased.

Orders are normally processed within 24 hours of confirmation of payment. Shipping times vary by region and carrier—orders are F.O.B. from our Seattle facility or directly from the fabricator via whichever delivery service we determine is appropriate and/or available.

Please acknowledge/verify products are custom-made to the colors and dimensions provided and/or approved by customer. We cannot exchange, refund, or cancel a new product order — nor can we accept responsibility for problems arising from circumstances beyond our control (these circumstances include, but may not be limited to, buyer’s erroneous or lack of knowledge, experience, or mechanical aptitude in regard to the measurements, installation, suitability, or other requirements of the requested products, strikes, delays, backorders, and shortages).

Undamaged, re-sellable items (i.e. parts) may be returned via pre-paid carrier after obtaining a Return Goods Authorization (RGA) number from us. Customer agrees to pay a 25% re-stock fee on returned items. Orders for cord, ladder, and other cut-yardage materials may neither be cancelled nor returned.

If we are providing measurement and installation services with a new product order, we guarantee the product will fit the window for which it was made, and will be installed to industry standards.
